Winter 2014

It seems like I only have enough time to blog once a season now...  these kids are keeping me very busy!  Holly is officially down to one nap which severely cuts limits my time to get things done around the house (including this blog).  Parker also started "preschool" two afternoons a week.  It gets a little chaotic trying to feed two kids lunch, clean up and dress them, pack our bags and get in the car... then, when we're all in, someone has to go the bathroom.  Of course.

Holly is growing like crazy.  She's (finally) up to 20 pounds.  She is such a little peanut.  She wants to do anything and everything Parker does and she is already talking way more than he did at this age.  So far she says (or tries to say) dada, mama, up, airplane, and probably a few other things I can't remember right now.  She can be a little spit-fire and definitely vocalizes if she wants something... she'll push Parker right back if he tries to move her out of the way.  There are multiple little scuffles throughout the day over toys and whatnot, but for the most part they love each other.

We rarely go to dinner with the kids, but this was one attempt.

When it is finally warm weather I love to break out all of Holly's dresses.

Holly @ 1 year!

Back in December, we celebrated Holly's first birthday at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and having dinner and birthday cake at home.  It was a beautiful day and it was the perfect way to end our year having memberships to the aquarium.  We have such great memories taking Parker (and now Holly) there... I remember signing up for our yearly passes when Holly was ten days old.  There were many stops for diapers, feedings, outfit changes and all the other crazy things that come with a newborn... Now a year later she's walking, pointing, feeding herself and were suddenly at the aquarium with TWO toddlers.  What  difference a year makes!

Back at home with did the birthday cake and present thing.  We snapped some pictures with her balloons and just enjoyed our time as a family.  Such a great day.
