Reflection on Names

Now that we've decided on Parker James Hilton for our new lil' guy, I've been thinking about all the names that were thrown around in the past seven months...

Walker
Kelly's choice; Jake would not stop referencing the "hit" show, so it was quickly removed from the list.

Sawyer
(to be followed up with his little brother, Huck... haha... OK, I know a little silly. But I could just picture two little tykes getting into mischief, floating' on raft down the Mississippi... well, not really... but I liked the literary reference)
Kelly's choice; Quickly vetoed by Jake.

Caleb
Jake's choice. I just didn't like it. Off the list.

Owen
Our #3 name. It was one of my first choices, but Jake just kind of tolerates it. If we end up with a family of three boys this could be one...

Carter

This is still our #2 name. So, if our baby arrives and does not look like a Parker then it might be Carter Paul Hilton

We are getting SO excited to see what Parker looks like. He is kicking all the time and we love it sit and watch him move around in my belly.

31 Weeks

Jake and I have both been trying to get over our colds, working (I had Parent-Teacher Conferences - eh), and searching for places to live once Parker is here.

I went to the 30 week doctor appointment on Wednesday and everything was fine. She gave me the okay to fly to San Diego in a few weeks, but then quickly dismissed the idea of driving anywhere for Christmas. Jake and I wanted to drive to his parents' for the Christmas holiday (about 2.5 hours away) but our doctor did not advise this due to the fact that I'll be 38 weeks pregnant and could pop at any time! So, Christmas at our tiny apartment...

Here's the 31 week belly picture:
(P.S. It's insane to think that I'll be considered full term at 37... yup that's six weeks away!)

I have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. Although as he gets bigger, I am getting more uncomfortable. It can be hard to sit in certain positions. Also, he likes to hang out really high and kick my ribs or nearby organs. Not always enjoyable. I'm getting more tired again (like during the first trimester) and falling asleep early on the couch. He moves around A LOT!!

Here is a picture from the Baby Shower a few weeks back. Thank you Judy for hosting such a wonderful event. There were a few more pictures, but I'll post more later...

(wrong date on the camera... oops)
